The little Kyoto, Kaga

Kaga is a city of Culture and Arts.
Back in the Samurai era, Ishikawa Prefectue
used to be called "Kaga".

Having an abundant wealth, Kaga enriched its cultural/artistic activities.

Some would say that the reason why Kaga’s devoting its wealth to the culture was a strategy to avoid conflict with the Shogun in Edo (today’s Tokyo), the Japanese authority at the time.

Thanks to Kaga’s cultural development, today’s Ishikawa counts amongst the most important cultural cities in Japan.
Ishikawa is also famous for its high-quality textile goods which are sold all over the world and contribute to global fashion industry.
